President-Elect Tinubu Returns To Nigeria 35 Days To Inauguration



President-elect Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria one month after his trip to Europe for “rest” after what was described as “very exhaustive campaign and election season”. He arrived the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja to a crowd of his supporters who were waiting to receive him.

Tinubu who left Nigeria through the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos on March 22 for his post-election vacation was reportedly to plan his transition programme from his base ahead of May 29 inauguration.

He was to spend the holiday in Paris, France and London in the United Kingdom. He was also expected to participate in the Lesser Hajj in the Holy Land in Saudi Arabia ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr Muslim festival.

President-elect Tinubu is to spend the next 35 days at the Defence House in Abuja where he will be receiving daily security briefing as part of transition from ongoing administration of President Muhamamdu Buhari.
