When I was a kid, I used to hear my Yoruba Elders defining literacy as an ability to converse in English... Is their definition of literacy wrong?

To some extent they might be wrong! But what is the essence of being literate and you're grammar anxious?

Sequel to the result I got from my most recent survey; I discovered that 70% Science students (more especially Mathematical Sciences student) are *_grammar anxious_*

I had to go as far as interviewing some Mathematical Sciences students; I got replies like _"... I get scared whenever I want to speak English"_

I'll like to register here that being a mathematics student is not a premise for saying gibberish all in name of speaking English.

As a mathematics student, develop your grammatical accuracy; *people respect your speech than who you are sometimes*

You don't need a British accent to be presentable.

A mathematics graduate is a King! Don't allow anyone to ridicule you 'cos of your inability to speak good English. Take it as a challenge today!

Don't be an _*educated illiterate...*_
